I think I have managed to keep a similar composition to the staged version to that of the illustrated version, which is something that I was hoping to achieve.

My Model Experiments!

Here are my painted versions of the character models and stage.

I have tried to match up the colours with the ones used in the original 'Hedgehog Hibernates' book as I didn't want to lose any of the charm and character of the illustrations.

I placed all the dummy models into the stage set I made to see how they worked within the selected scenery before I moved any further with painting...

Being happy with the way the characters were able to interact with the scenery, as well as being easily managable for hands to play with, I decided to go ahead with the painting of the stage and the models.
